Still life and checkers.
My professor suggested, since I was not completely happy with this originally, that I paint over it. Sloosh paint on it. Still having a hard time just painting over things, but I did it in a gentle way. I think I like the painting more now.

I've been comparing the first and second versions of this painting, and I agree that it's a better painting now - the composition seems more complete. I really liked the treatment of the fruit in #1, and that gets a little lost in #2, but I really like the addition of the checkers, and the way they work with the curves of the plate. The seem to balance the door.
